Meryl Hershey Beck is excited to be involved in many joyous, energizing careers!  Joy and energy is the theme as she began as a teacher, then a professional counselor, and then she became involved in other energy work. Meryl graduated from college with a major in English and a minor in math and immediately discovered the joy of teaching! She taught high school English, tutored LD students, and later taught remedial math at a community college. For Meryl, being in the front of the room teaching something she believes in and enjoys continues to be an energizing experience.

In 1975 Meryl became involved in 12-Step Recovery and sponsored many people. Sponsoring is a form of peer counseling; Meryl found it energizing and fulfilling, and the people she sponsored gave her positive feedback. She decided to go back to school and obtained a master’s degree in counseling, becoming a licensed professional clinical counselor in Ohio in 1990.  

Meryl worked part time as a traditional psychotherapist in Cleveland Ohio. Although she was well regarded, she was puzzled that her clients felt better by the end of the session but the following week they would return with the same challenge and the same feelings around it, so they didn’t seem to be making much progress. In the mid 1990s, her counseling methods got all shook up when she studied Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR). When she introduced EMDR into her practice, Meryl saw her clients quickly move through their issues. The clients liked this tool and asked to use it at most every session.

A few years later Meryl moved to Arizona and there she studied Thought Field Therapy (TFT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT--www.emofree.com) and other Energy Psychology techniques. Although she at first thought these techniques were too weird, she soon became a believer and was amazed at the simplicity of this new technology. Using it with her clients, she saw many release physical and emotional pain easily and quickly. With high energy and enthusiasm, Meryl began teaching EFT and other Energy modalities to mental health professionals throughout Arizona. She became a presenter at the ACEP (Association of Comprehensive Energy Psychology) conferences presenting “Energized for Life: Building High, Balanced Personal Energy.”

At the Energy Psychology conference in Switzerland in 2001 Meryl met Donna Eden [www.innersource.net] liked her simple exercises to open the energy and then studied Energy Medicine with Donna. Meryl has incorporated some of Donna’s energy exercises into her own daily practice as well as presenting “Early Morning Energizers” at many of the ACEP conferences.

Meryl discovered Light Language in 2002, studying with Jerry Pegden and Starr Fuentes [www.starrfuentes.com], a Curandero and the lineage holder. After the first class, Meryl “took off” and spent all of her free time creating Light Language grids for herself, her family, her friends, and her community. So impressed with this manifestation tool, Meryl continued the training and began teaching Light Language in 2003. Light Language [www.lightlanguage.org] is a powerful way of changing the symbols in your energy field to attract what you want rather than what your unconscious thoughts keep attracting.

The end of 2003 Meryl was presenting at an Energy Psychology conference in Toronto and met another presenter, Eric Pearl [www.thereconnection.com] and was impressed with his presentation and breakout session. So much so, that upon returning home Meryl was sure that she was energetically different and was drawn to study Reconnective Healing with Eric. Within a year, Meryl had taken all the available classes, became a teaching assistant and mentor. Meryl continues to offer Reconnective Healing as well as personal Reconnections.

The beginning of 2004 ushered in Meryl’s connection to Derek O’Neill (www.bornfreenow.com), attending his workshops in Phoenix and later in Ireland. It is a blessing to be in Derek’s presence -- he emanates tremendous healing, Christ energy, and Unconditional Love. In 2007 Meryl became a Rising Star Practitioner and Teacher and in 2008 Meryl was certified as a Prema Birthing Practitioner and offers Rising Star Healing and Prema Birthing sessions.

Tucson Arizona hosts the largest gem show in the world each January/February. Meryl attended in 2006 and fell in love with beads. She took some beading classes and returned to the gem show in 2007 to purchase beads -- gemstones, Czech crystals, etc. That summer she made room in her schedule to begin beading -- earrings, necklaces, and bracelets (for men and women). As she beads, Meryl is in a state of joy and that joy is emanated into the jewelry. The end of 2007, Meryl studied the Ho’oponopono technique with Dr. Hew Len and Joe Vitale (www.hooponopono.org) and now places the following words into the beads as she creates the jewelry: “Thank you,” “I love you,” “Please forgive me,” “I’m sorry.” Beginning in April 2008, Meryl has been commissioned to create Intention Jewelry -- she works with the client on wording the intention and then uses gemstones with complementary metaphysical qualities and joins with the client on focusing the intention into the piece of jewelry.

As an energetic, vibrant being who loves to teach, it makes sense that Meryl enjoys sharing with others how to also have high, balanced personal energy. Choosing a party atmosphere instead of a workshop, Meryl now plans and presents Energy Parties – much like a Tupperware or Pampered Chef party. These parties are fun, the energy is high, the participants learn techniques to feel more vibrant and energetic and they have an opportunity to purchase products to help them continue to feel energized and alive.
